Osiris Case: Internship/Thesis Assessment Second Assessor

Updated on

After the student has submitted the thesis / internship report in Osiris Case ánd the first assessor has finished the evaluation, you will be asked by email to evaluate the thesis/ internship.

1. You can login onto Osiris Teacher* and go to the 'Case'(Zaak) tab.

* NOTE: In some cases, you are assigned as second RU-assessor for an EXTERNAL internship/ thesis. Since second assessors of external internships / theses might also be external supervisors, you will receive an email invitation with an external link for the evaluation. You will not see the student's Case as described below. See also here.

2. Click on 'Search' first to show the active Cases assigned to you.

3. Find the student for which you need to evaluate the report / thesis (the title of the Case will be 'Internship or Thesis Assessment', status indicated is 'Completed' which does not mean you already completed it) and click on it to be able to open the Case.

You can find the report / thesis under 'Internship / Thesis data'.

4. If you are ready for your evaluation, click 'Second assessment form'.

Note: Under 'first assessment form', you can find the evaluation and grading of the first assessor.

A screen will popup.

A page will open in which you can download the appropriate form.

As second assessor, you need to evaluate only the report / thesis and the presentation (if you were present).
* In case of an external internship for which you are the external daily supervisor, you need to evaluate all aspects of the internship / thesis. The RU/RUMC assessor will only evaluate the report / thesis and oral presentation (if present).

6. After having finished the evaluation form, go back to Osiris Teacher, upload the form (1), and give your grade in the dropdown menu (2). Click 'Save' (3).

7. The popup closes, after which you can click 'completed'.

You have now finished your evaluation. The first assessor will receive a message, so that they can determine the student's final grade, taking your evaluation into account. If your grade deviates >1 point from that of the first assessor, you should discuss this together.
